Neil is a barrister and consultant of LCI Law, specialising in maritime and international trade law.
He was called to the Bar in 2004 and has over 17 years’ experience at London-based chambers, 4 Pump Court and 36 Stone Chambers, as counsel in maritime law disputes before the English High Court, Court of Appeal and a variety of arbitral tribunals (both institutional and ad hoc).
He has advised on and litigated disputes that have included bills of lading, charterparties, collisions and groundings, commodities, marine insurance, MOAs, shipbuilding, and ship finance, as well as freezing injunctions, anti-suit injunctions and other interim and enforcement remedies.
Prior to joining LCI, Neil spent three years with the Industry Liaison team at Gard, a leading marine insurer. There he was involved in initiatives on decarbonisation regulations, alternative fuels, and nuclear propulsion, as well as sitting on the Pooling Agreement Committee of the International Group of P&I Clubs.
